Welcome to Pet Portraits!

These beautiful, one of a kind pet portraits are done using the finest quality hand ground French pastels available. They are done on 100% acid free archival quality paper. The colors are layered one on top of the other to achieve a wonderful, rich and colorful texture. In each portrait, the animal is in his own, unique environment, "on his own turf", so to speak. Each pet portrait shows the animal in a landscape of the owner's choice (see Photography Tips). Often this is in his favorite place.
